Telecom company Globe Telecom has improved its load and promo loan services for Globe Prepaid and TM users, making it easier for Filipinos to stay connected even without mobile balance.
The company said the update allows customers to borrow load or promos for calls, texts, and mobile data, which they can pay later. This is meant to help users stay online during emergencies or daily needs, especially as many rely on mobile phones for work, school, and communication.
Globe offers small “emergency” loans for quick use, such as sending messages or making calls when balance runs out. Qualified users can also access larger loan offers, including popular promos like Go59 and EZ50, which provide more data and longer usage.
Repayment has also been improved. Loan payments are still automatically deducted from the user’s next reload, but now Globe also collects partial payments when customers buy promos. Up to 50% of the data from a purchased promo may be used to pay off the loan, while the rest remains available for the user.
According to Eric Tanbauco, the changes aim to better support customers in everyday situations, from emergencies to staying in touch with family.
The loan services are available through the GlobeOne app, Facebook, *143#, and SMS, allowing users to access them anytime.
Globe said the move is part of its effort to provide more flexible and reliable connectivity for Filipinos.
