PLDT Inc. has entered into a share purchase agreement with Paragon Vertical Corp. to buy its 65.1 percent stake in Radius Telecoms Inc. This covers over 4.6 million common shares plus related beneficial holdings. Once the transaction closes, following required approvals from the Philippine Competition Commission and the National Telecommunications Commission, PLDT will hold 100 percent of Radius. The company said the move will not negatively impact its existing business, finances, or operations.
Radius operates a fully fiber-optic network spanning more than 11,000 kilometers, serving Mega Manila, nearby provinces, Clark, and Cebu. It is a leading provider in the capital region, offering services such as direct internet access, global networking, and cloud and security solutions including SD-WAN and zero-trust networking.
The acquisition strengthens PLDT’s fiber infrastructure footprint and service portfolio, expanding its reach and capability to deliver high-demand enterprise and connectivity solutions across key economic hubs in the Philippines.
