AC Health, Taisho Pharma form strategic healthcare partnership

Ayala Healthcare Holdings Inc. via AC Health Pharma announced Wednesday a strategic alliance with Taisho Pharmaceuticals Philippines Inc.

The partnership aims to merge global expertise with strong local reach, making trusted, innovative, and quality health solutions more accessible nationwide.

AC Health Pharma president and CEO Josette Adrienne A. Abarca noted the move will boost affordability and availability of medicines across their network: over 900 pharmacies, 300 corporate clinics, 17 specialty centers, and 7 hospitals — including new Japanese-sourced products.

Established in 1912, Taisho brings more than 100 years of experience in consumer health. Its popular Philippine brands include Tempra, Flanax, Bonamine, Vivalyte, Biofermin, Luseco, and Locoa.

Taisho president Jiang Peng said the deal underscores the firm’s long‑term commitment to the country and confidence in AC Health. Both sides share the goal of helping Filipinos live healthier lives through world‑class products and innovations from Japan.

The collaboration also supports AC Health’s St. Joseph Drug Powered by Sugi — a Japanese‑style wellness pharmacy at One Ayala, Makati — developed with Japan’s leading drugstore chain Sugi Pharmacy, blending local trust with Japanese retail and wellness know‑how.
