Manila Electric Company (Meralco), under the leadership of Manuel V. Pangilinan, is marking its third consecutive year of celebrating Pride Month to reinforce its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Guided by its #Mbrace Diversity & Inclusion program, the company advocates for women’s empowerment, as well as greater inclusion of the LGBTQIA+ community and persons with disabilities (PWDs).
This year’s activities included rainbow-painted crosswalks at its Pasig headquarters and field offices, employee features, solidarity posters, and the “Safe to Be Me” webinar promoting awareness, allyship, and safe work environments. Senior executives joined the observance, gathering at the rainbow crosswalk as a visible sign of support and a reminder that the company values every employee’s true identity.
Through these efforts, Meralco emphasizes that building an inclusive culture requires both strong policies and visible leadership action. As “One Meralco,” the firm continues working toward a workplace defined by respect, fairness, and belonging, aiming to develop a compassionate and future-ready workforce.
