Globe has maintained its top position in the Philippine mobile market, boosted by ongoing investments in network quality, customer experience and new technologies. In the first quarter of 2026, it added 408 new 5G sites, bringing outdoor 5G coverage to over 98 percent of Metro Manila and major cities in the Visayas and Mindanao.
Mobile data now makes up 89 percent of the firm’s total mobile service revenue, up from 85 percent a year earlier. Total mobile revenues reached P30 billion in the quarter, a 6 percent year-on-year rise, with subscribers growing to roughly 67 million. Data revenue climbed 11 percent, traffic rose 18 percent, and average monthly data use hit around 16 GB per user, as more Filipinos stream, work, learn and transact online. Over 39 million customers actively use data services, while the GlobeOne app averages 8 million monthly users.
Chief commercial officer Darius Delgado noted the firm will focus on improved digital platforms, hyper-personalized offers, wider 5G and fiber coverage, and greater use of digital tools to serve evolving needs nationwide.
