Prudence Foundation, the community arm of Prudential plc, has launched Levela – a free financial education platform – in the Philippines, the first market worldwide to get the service.
Built for young Filipinos facing rising costs and a digital economy, Levela offers easy lessons on budgeting, saving, debt, insurance, planning, and fraud protection via web and mobile. It also includes an English Shariah-compliant module for Filipino Muslim communities, plus an offline version for underserved groups.
The platform builds on the success of Prudence Foundation’s long-running Cha-Ching program, with research support from the Center for Financial Inclusion at Accion. Pru Life UK president and CEO Sanjay Chakrabarty said the launch aims to make financial know-how accessible and relevant for all Filipinos.
After the Philippines, Levela will roll out later this year across Southeast Asia and parts of Africa.
