The Networks Group of the Manila Electric Company (Meralco), led by Manuel V. Pangilinan, has kept its ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification after passing its second surveillance audit with no issues found. The audit was carried out by TÜV SÜD from June 22 to 26, 2026, and checked how well the group manages quality across all work related to planning, designing, building, running, and maintaining Meralco’s power distribution network and related services.
The result confirms that the company follows global quality standards and has well-established, mature processes in place. ISO 9001:2015 is the widely accepted international standard for quality management, laying out guidelines to consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements while driving ongoing improvements and better operational performance.
“This achievement shows the hard work, focus, and teamwork of everyone in the Networks Group. Beyond just passing an audit, this proves we are fully committed to refining our ways of working, raising our operational standards, and giving our customers and partners the level of service they rightly expect,” said Froilan J. Savet, Meralco senior vice president and head of networks.
Meralco added that it will continue to modernize and reinforce its distribution network, while upholding the highest standards of quality, innovation, and operational excellence to deliver safe, steady, and reliable power to all its customers.
