Manufacturing technologies took center stage at Philippine Manufacturing Week 2026, as thousands of industry leaders, suppliers and engineers gathered at the World Trade Center Metro Manila to explore innovations expected to reshape the country’s industrial future.
The three-day exhibition wrapped up Saturday after bringing together the 3rd Auto Parts and Vehicles Expo Philippines (APVE) 2026 and the 12th Philippine Die and Mould Machinery and Equipment Exhibition (PDMEX), creating a one-stop venue for companies looking to modernize production and strengthen supply chains.
The event showcased a wide range of technologies, from robotics and precision tooling to welding systems, quality control solutions and digital manufacturing platforms, reflecting the industry’s accelerating shift toward smarter and more automated factories.
Speaking at the opening, Philippine Economic Zone Authority Deputy Director General for Operations Vivian Santos said the agency remains committed to supporting manufacturers through investment incentives, infrastructure development and policies that strengthen the Philippines’ position as a manufacturing hub in Southeast Asia.
Cooperative Development Authority Chairperson Ferdinand Jesus Ortega highlighted government efforts to help transport cooperatives and automotive enterprises through financing and capacity-building programs, while stressing continued support for both large manufacturers and micro, small and medium enterprises.
The automotive sector also drew strong international participation. Organizers said APVE expanded its global footprint this year with exhibitors and country pavilions from China, Taiwan and Thailand, underscoring growing interest in the Philippine automotive aftermarket and parts industry.
PDMEX, co-organized by the Philippine Die and Mold Association and Informa Markets Philippines, featured the latest developments in precision engineering and advanced manufacturing, industries that play a critical role in supporting automotive, electronics and other export-oriented sectors.
Informa Markets Philippines Country General Manager Rungphech Chitanuwat said holding the two exhibitions under one roof enables participants to connect across the manufacturing value chain, from tooling and component production to aftermarket services.
The event also hosted technical conferences on electric vehicles, robotics, precision engineering and digital transformation, highlighting how technology is becoming central to improving productivity and competitiveness.
With an expected 8,000 attendees and support from government agencies including the Department of Science and Technology and PEZA, the exhibition reinforced manufacturing’s growing role in driving investment, innovation and industrial growth in the Philippines.
