The Philippine Airlines (PAL), the country’s flag carrier, has received its fourth Airbus A350-1000, advancing its fleet modernization drive while expanding capacity for travelers on key international routes.
The aircraft is the fourth of nine A350-1000 units PAL ordered in 2023, part of a broader strategy to upgrade its long-haul operations and support international growth. Led by the Lucio Tan group, PAL remains the first and only airline in Southeast Asia to operate this aircraft model.
Configured with 382 seats across three classes, the A350-1000 offers enhanced comfort for all passengers. Business Class features private suites with sliding privacy doors, alongside a dedicated Premium Economy cabin and an improved Economy Class layout—all designed to ease the strain of extended journeys. For commuters and frequent flyers, the aircraft also delivers better fuel efficiency and lower carbon emissions, aligning with growing demand for more sustainable travel options.
Corporate-wise, the delivery underscores PAL’s confidence in the future of air travel and its commitment to building one of the region’s most modern, efficient fleets. It follows the airline’s recent commitments for additional widebody aircraft—including options and purchase rights—announced during the Farnborough International Airshow, with deliveries scheduled through 2036.
The A350-1000 serves critical routes to San Francisco, New York, and Toronto, strengthening PAL’s ability to connect the Philippines to major global markets. From its hubs in Manila and Cebu, PAL currently operates nonstop flights to 29 domestic destinations and 40 international points across Asia, North America, Australia, and the Middle East.
