The Securities and Exchange Commission has given the go-ahead for DragonFi Securities Inc. to test its new financial products and services under the agency’s regulatory sandbox.
DragonFi will roll out a system letting qualified Philippine-based investors access pre-vetted U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds via over-the-counter depositary receipts.
A key feature: an investor’s engagement in local capital markets will factor into how much foreign equity exposure they may take on. This setup aims to support both domestic and international investing while advancing financial innovation.
The SEC will assess the offering’s feasibility, operating structure, investor safeguards, and any regulatory impacts within a supervised setting. Findings may guide updates to SEC rules.
All activities follow approved testing limits and ongoing SEC oversight. The public should check official SEC channels for further updates on DragonFi’s sandbox participation.
