Travellers International Hotel Group Inc. is charging hard into a major hospitality expansion, scaling its portfolio to nearly 3,000 room keys as new developments at Newport World Resorts and the massive Westside project in Entertainment City come online.
President and CEO Nilo Thaddeus Rodriguez revealed that the growth is headlined by the upcoming Narra Palm Resort and Villas, adding 155 luxury rooms to Newport’s existing 2,000-room inventory, alongside new hotel capacity at Westside. Despite injecting fresh inventory into the market, occupancy rates are holding strong above an impressive 85 percent, supercharged by domestic tourism and record-breaking passenger traffic at NAIA.
Rather than relying strictly on beds, Travellers is doubling down on an entertainment-first playbook. The upcoming Westside Resort will introduce four new theater venues—kicking off with its first stage next year—designed to lock in longer guest stays and repeat visitors. Backed by parallel investments in live theatrical productions, high-end culinary concepts, and local talent development, the group is aggressively rewriting the playbook for regional leisure and tourism.
