Converge ICT Solutions Inc., the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and TikTok Shop have launched a program aimed at helping Filipino micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) expand their online businesses through connectivity, e-commerce tools, insurance and mentorship.
Called SellerPlus, the initiative was launched at the DTI office in Makati City and is designed for online sellers, livestreamers and home-based entrepreneurs seeking to grow through digital and discovery commerce.
The package includes 200-megabit-per-second fiber internet from Converge, along with TikTok Shop benefits such as zero commission fees for 90 days for newly onboarded sellers, seller missions offering vouchers and incentives, dedicated customer service, and traffic and voucher support through the monthly Sariling Atin campaign, which promotes locally made products.
SellerPlus also provides personal accident insurance from AXA.
Converge SME Group Vice President Angela Gutierrez said the program is intended to address operational challenges faced by online merchants, particularly connectivity issues that can affect livestream selling.
“SellerPlus equips online sellers, livestreamers, and home-based businesses with high-speed connectivity, growth tools via TikTok Shop and Personal Accident Insurance via AXA,” Gutierrez said.
The program will also support the DTI Bagong Pilipinas AI and Scale-Up Center in Makati, where Converge provides connectivity for demonstrations and training on artificial intelligence-powered tools for content generation, customer service and inventory management.
SellerPlus is complemented by the BizPro Rockstar Mentorship Program under the BizFriend PH Community, which provides guidance on partnership law, digital marketing, tax compliance, business communication and business growth.
The partners said the initiative is intended to lower barriers to e-commerce adoption and help traditional businesses, including those in food, fashion and apparel, establish or expand their digital presence.
