GCash is marking its 22nd anniversary with a nationwide promotional campaign offering free MRT-3 rides, P10 chicken meals and prizes worth up to P100,000, as the financial technology platform seeks to reward users through October 31.
Dubbed “Pasalamat,” the campaign combines transportation savings, discounted food and digital rewards across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, giving customers multiple ways to benefit from eligible transactions.
Until October 23, GCash users can access free MRT-3 rides through Commute QR, Tap-to-Pay or GCash Visa cards at designated turnstiles. Passengers must maintain at least P14 in their wallets, which is deducted upon entry and refunded when they exit their destination station. The offer is available from 4:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., subject to the promotion’s conditions.
For food savings, customers can purchase P10 chicken meals at participating KFC, Chooks-to-Go, Andok’s and Baliwag outlets until October 31. Users must claim vouchers through the GCash app and pay using Scan to Pay at participating stores.
The anniversary also features digital incentives. Users completing eligible transactions through the app’s GBirthday feature can receive instant credits of P10, P50 or P100. Raffle prizes include GCash credits worth up to P100,000 and 100 Yamaha YTX 125 motorcycles, each bundled with complimentary standard insurance through GInsure.
Overseas Filipinos can also participate in the “Shake It, Win It” rewards program, which offers round-trip airline tickets to two to three winners. Eligible wallet top-ups and remittance transactions earn raffle entries.
In Metro Manila, promotional activities include games and giveaways at GStocks booths.
While the offers may help customers offset everyday expenses, their value depends on eligibility, participating locations and the effort required to claim rewards. Commuters should also note the campaign’s October 23 transport deadline, which comes before the wider anniversary promotion ends.
For users already relying on GCash for payments and remittances, the campaign provides additional savings opportunities, although checking the app’s terms before transacting remains essential.
