Isuzu delivers five trucks to eCarga for fleet expansion

Isuzu Philippines Corp. (IPC) has supplied five commercial vehicles to EEI Carga Digital Logistics Corp. (eCarga), adding delivery capacity as the logistics provider expands its operations to meet growing customer requirements.

The turnover, conducted with dealer partner Isuzu Manila, comprised two Isuzu TRAVIZ utility vans and three NPR85K aluminum vans. The mix is intended to serve different transport needs, from smaller urban deliveries to larger cargo shipments.

The acquisition reflects eCarga’s investment in fleet capacity as logistics providers face pressure to improve delivery efficiency, manage operating costs, and accommodate increasingly varied distribution requirements.

IPC dealer sales department head Mario Ojales said the partnership extends beyond vehicle supply, with Isuzu providing nationwide aftersales support to help minimize downtime and keep the fleet operational.

“The logistics sector plays a vital role in moving goods while keeping businesses and communities connected,” Ojales said.

The two TRAVIZ units, developed by Truck Masters, are designed for personnel transport and lighter cargo deliveries. Each is powered by a 2.5-liter diesel engine and has a maximum chassis payload capacity of 1,660 kilograms, depending on the variant.

The three NPR85K trucks, fitted with aluminum van bodies fabricated by Richwealth Body Builder, are configured for heavier distribution work. The six-wheelers have a gross vehicle weight rating of 6,500 kilograms and can accommodate 16-foot rear bodies.

Each NPR85K is powered by a 3.0-liter diesel engine.

IPC said its dealership network, parts availability, and maintenance services would support eCarga’s fleet utilization and delivery schedules.

For eCarga, the additional vehicles provide more capacity across different shipment sizes. For Isuzu, the delivery underscores the role of aftersales support in competing for commercial fleet accounts, where vehicle uptime can be as important as acquisition cost.
