LGU partners with Foundever for free CX skills training to boost local employment

Quezon City job seekers now have easier access to industry-relevant skills training, after the city’s Public Employment Service Office (PESO) signed an agreement with global customer experience leader Foundever®. The deal launches the Quezon City Competency Enhancement and Retooling Program, aimed at bridging the gap between community skills and actual workplace needs.

Under the Memorandum of Agreement, Foundever will roll out its existing Learn2Employ Program — a free three-day training course focused on core customer service skills — on a monthly basis for one year. Sessions will be run by the company’s University & Community Partnership team, with PESO QC identifying and referring qualified residents to take part.

Participants will learn practical skills including workplace communication, effective customer interaction, and what employers expect in the customer experience sector — giving them clearer pathways to securing jobs. Launched in 2024, Learn2Employ has already expanded its reach through partnerships such as with the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program in Metro Manila.

“Great talent exists in our communities — people simply need the right training and opportunities to succeed,” said Willy Lim, Foundever APAC Vice President for HR and Talent Acquisition. “This program brings real industry knowledge directly to Quezon City residents, helping them build the confidence and capabilities employers are looking for.”

Foundever is the first private sector partner for the city’s workforce retooling initiative, marking a step forward in how government agencies and businesses can work together to strengthen local employment systems. PESO QC will continue to manage candidate referrals, while Foundever delivers the curriculum and instructors — making industry expertise accessible right where people live.
