The New NAIA Infrastructure Corp. (NNIC) has unveiled plans to renovate Terminal 4 at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), with work set to begin 6 November 2024. The renovation will modernize the facility, enhance passenger experience, and implement vital safety upgrades.
Terminal 4 serves three airlines: AirSWIFT, operating 12 daily flights; Sunlight Air, with 2 daily flights; and CebGo, which offers 36 daily flights.
CebGo previously said all flights to and from the NAIA will shift from Terminal 4 to Terminal 2 starting 7 November 2024. The transfer includes routes to popular destinations such as Busuanga, Boracay, Cebu, and Siargao.
Terminal 4, which processes approximately 2,900 passengers daily — 1,400 arriving and 1,500 departing — accounts for more than 2 percent of NAIA’s daily passenger volume. As the renovation winds up, all airlines based in Terminal 4 will temporarily relocate to Terminal 2. NNIC is working closely with the carriers to facilitate a seamless transition and minimize disruptions for travelers.
“Our goal is to make Terminal 4 more comfortable and efficient for travelers,” said a representative from NNIC. “While there may be some temporary disruptions, we appreciate the public’s understanding and patience as we work to deliver these much-needed improvements.”
Passengers are encouraged to stay informed about flight schedules and updates by checking with their respective airlines. The renovation of Terminal 4 is a significant step towards enhancing the overall travel experience at one of the country’s busiest airports.
Completion is anticipated by February 2025.
