SM group’s various businesses were recognized as top taxpayers in Pasay City in appreciation ceremonies held at Conrad Manila.
The citations were among the highlights of the 159th founding anniversary of Pasay City which bared its top taxpayers in both business and real property taxes categories.
The awards recognized the unwavering support and contribution of the businesses to the city’s development, helping the local government transform “into a city of good governance and better opportunities.”
“Your presence and help are vital in attaining our goal of becoming an eco-city. As we are partners in public service, our strong bond and partnership is necessary in our next chapter,” Pasay City Mayor Imelda Calixto-Rubiano said.
SM Development Corp. topped the business tax category followed by The SM Store in the third spot. Meanwhile, SM Prime Holdings Inc. clinched the sixth place, with Super Shopping Market Inc. and SM Investments Corp. ranked eighth and ninth in the same category, respectively.
In the real property tax category, SM Prime placed first while SMDC, Shoemart Inc., (SM Land Inc) and SM Retail were ranked third, sixth and seventh, respectively.
