The Department of Energy (DOE) announced that a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on energy transition cooperation was signed during President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s visit to the UAE on 26 November.
The MOU outlines areas of collaboration, including renewable energy, LNG as a transition fuel, nuclear energy, and emerging technologies. The partnership aims to attract investments, create jobs, and enhance local expertise.
An implementation agreement with a UAE state-owned company is expected by January 2024.
