Air Canada launches new Vancouver-Manila non-stop service in 2025

Air Canada is expanding its international network with the introduction of a non-stop route from Vancouver to Manila, set to launch in April 2025. This new service underscores the airline’s drive to tap into high-growth markets, filling a gap in direct flights between Canada and the Philippines.

Mark Galardo, executive vice president of revenue and network planning at Air Canada, expressed excitement over the expansion, emphasizing the strong ties between the two countries. “The Philippines is an important market with deep family, business, and tourism connections,” he said. The new route will offer four weekly flights, operated with the airline’s state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which features three cabin classes: Signature, Premium Economy, and Economy.

This move makes Air Canada the only Canadian carrier serving the Philippines, currently the largest Asian market without direct service from the airline. The route also complements Air Canada’s growing presence in Southeast Asia, following recent expansions to Singapore and Bangkok.

Starting 2 April 2025, the flights will depart from Air Canada’s Pacific hub in Vancouver, linking seamlessly to its extensive domestic and transborder network. In total, the airline will offer over 180 weekly flights between Canada and the Pacific, further solidifying its position as the leader in non-stop Pacific routes.

With enhanced in-flight entertainment options, premium airport lounges, and convenient connections to over 50 North American destinations, Air Canada is set to make travel between the Philippines and North America more accessible and comfortable for both business and leisure travelers.
