DMCI Power achieves record energy sales in 2024, expands capacity for 2025

DMCI Power Corporation (DPC), a leading off-grid energy provider in the Philippines, reported a record 491.2 GWh in energy sales for 2024, marking a 9 percent increase over the previous year. The growth was driven by rising demand in Palawan, Masbate, and Oriental Mindoro, and the full-year operation of its 15MW Palawan Thermal Power Plant, which began in August 2023.

This milestone represents DPC’s 14th consecutive year of record-breaking performance since its operations began in 2010. The company continues to play a crucial role in powering off-grid regions of the country, as highlighted by its president, Antonino E. Gatdula Jr.

Looking ahead, DPC plans a 27 percent expansion of its installed capacity in 2025, with 43MW of projects in development, including the 12MW Semirara Wind Project, its first renewable energy initiative, and additional thermal and bunker plants. These projects are expected to enhance the company’s ability to provide reliable, efficient energy to off-grid communities, supporting national economic growth and sustainability.

DPC’s continued growth underscores its leadership in the off-grid energy market, which is vital to ensuring reliable power in underserved areas of the Philippines.
