Cebu Pacific expands Japan connectivity with new Chitose-Manila route

Ambassador Endo Kazuya recently marked a milestone in Japan-Philippines bilateral relations with the inauguration of Cebu Pacific’s new Chitose-Manila route. The service, which connects Sapporo’s Chitose Airport with Manila, adds to the airline’s growing network between the Philippines and Japan, complementing existing routes to Narita, Kansai, Nagoya, and Fukuoka.

During the ceremony, Ambassador Endo highlighted the importance of the new route, emphasizing its role in enhancing tourism and cultural exchanges between the two nations. He affirmed that the Japanese government is working closely with the Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT) to promote the diverse attractions of the Philippines to the Japanese public.

“This new flight service is not only a boost to tourism but also an avenue to deepen the friendship and understanding between our two countries,” said Ambassador Endo. “As we continue to encourage travel and collaboration, this will pave the way for more meaningful connections between our peoples, strengthening both commercial ties and cultural bridges.”

The new route is expected to increase tourism traffic, providing more travel options for both Japanese visitors to the Philippines and Filipinos seeking to explore Japan, reinforcing the growing commercial and diplomatic ties between the two nations.
