CCP offers cashless payments for events via GCash

The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) has teamed up with GCash, one of the country’s leading mobile wallets, to offer a more convenient, cashless payment system for its events and productions. This collaboration aims to simplify ticket purchases, merchandise transactions, and other services by integrating GCash’s popular digital payment platform.

CCP president Kaye C. Tinga highlighted that the partnership would not only streamline operations but also provide valuable data to enhance the audience experience. “We are always looking for ways to improve accessibility and convenience for our patrons,” she said, underscoring the benefits of offering a secure, faster way to engage with the arts.

Through GCash’s Scan to Pay service, attendees can make payments by scanning QR codes at various CCP venues. The system is inclusive, also allowing payments from other mobile apps and QR tools, ensuring both GCash and non-GCash users can easily attend events. With over 40 million GCash users in the Philippines, the partnership is expected to attract a broader, younger, and tech-savvy audience, further bridging the gap between digital innovation and the arts.

This move reflects CCP’s forward-thinking approach, embracing digital transformation to make arts and culture more accessible to all.
