FPIP tops off first commercial hub in Batangas

First Philippine Industrial Park (FPIP), a key PEZA-registered economic zone in Batangas, marked a significant step into commercial property development with the topping off of its upcoming FPIP Plaza, a 15,000-square meter commercial hub set to rise at the main entrance of the park.

The ceremony, co-hosted with construction partner First Balfour, signified the installation of the plaza’s highest structural point and underscored FPIP’s strategic move to diversify its property portfolio beyond industrial infrastructure. The three-story FPIP Plaza is designed to cater to the daily needs of the park’s over 150 global locators and their workforce, offering retail, dining, and essential services. It is also expected to benefit surrounding communities in Sto. Tomas.

“This is FPIP’s first serious foray into commercial development and a major step in enhancing the park’s value proposition,” said Jose Valentin “Joval” Pantangco, FPIP chief commercial officer and president and COO of First Balfour, who led the ceremony alongside senior leaders from both companies.

The FPIP Plaza development signals growing demand for integrated amenities in industrial zones and reflects the broader trend of ecosystem building around economic hubs. It is expected to reinforce FPIP’s competitive position in the Philippine industrial real estate market, which currently hosts global players like Collins Aerospace, Murata, and Dyson.
