The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) will implement a new format for announcing monetary policy decisions starting Thursday, 28 August 2025, aligning with international best practices in more advanced jurisdictions.
Under the revised format:
- At 2:30 p.m., the BSP will release the monetary policy stance statement through its official website and X (formerly Twitter) account.
- At 3:00 p.m., a press conference will be held and livestreamed on the BSP’s official Facebook page, featuring opening remarks by the BSP Governor and a Q&A session with the media.
The BSP said the move aims to enhance transparency, improve communication of monetary policy decisions, and foster greater public understanding of its policy actions.
