Toyota Motor Philippines Corp. (TMP), a unit of GT Capital Holdings Inc., has been recognized as the top customs revenue contributor to the Bureau of Customs-Port of Batangas for the first half of 2025.
TMP remitted approximately ₱24.09 billion in duties and taxes during the period, marking a 29 percent year-on-year increase, the company said. The announcement was made during the port’s 68th founding anniversary celebration.
According to customs district collector Carmelita M. Talusan, Toyota’s contributions accounted for 35 percent of revenues from the top 10 importers, significantly boosting the port’s overall collection, which reached ₱145.05 billion as of August 19 — up 11 percent from the previous year.
Motor vehicles and fuel products remain the port’s leading revenue drivers, reinforcing its role as a major gateway for the automotive and energy sectors.
As an Authorized Economic Operator Level 2, TMP enjoys customs privileges such as faster clearance and dedicated lanes, optimizing its logistics. The company also operates a vehicle logistics center just six kilometers from the port, enhancing delivery efficiency for Toyota and Lexus units, as well as parts and components.
TMP reported ₱12.5 billion in net income in H1 2025, a 66 percent increase, with consolidated revenues rising 19 percent to ₱135.6 billion. Retail sales hit 111,276 units, giving TMP a 46.1 percent market share — maintaining its position as the Philippines’ top automotive brand.
