EEI Corp., one of the country’s leading construction firms, announced a major boost in its third-quarter project acquisitions for 2025, securing contracts worth a total of P19.1 billion, a significant turnaround from last year.
The turnaround was driven by two newly awarded projects: the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) Subsection 1 and Megaworld Corp.’s Arcovia Hotel in Pasig City.
MPCALA Holdings Inc. tapped EEI to build key portions of CALAX Subsection 1 in Kawit, Cavite, a P2.7 billion undertaking. The contract includes roadway construction, drainage systems, and other essential infrastructure.
Once completed, CALAX is expected to enhance connectivity between Cavite and Laguna, easing traffic congestion and boosting regional development.
In the hospitality sector, Megaworld awarded EEI the construction of the Arcovia Hotel in Pasig City. The project scope involves civil, structural, and architectural finishing works, including painting and waterproofing.
“These new project wins mark a significant turnaround for EEI, reflecting our resilience, competitiveness, and renewed growth momentum,” said Anna Payawal-Figuera, EEI Senior Vice President and Head of Commercial and Operations.
As of end-August 2025, EEI’s total backlog—unworked portions of ongoing contracts—stood at P39.24 billion, highlighting a strong pipeline. With these new wins and a solid portfolio, EEI is poised to sustain its growth and further contribute to national development through infrastructure and building projects.
