Motorists and commuters should brace for another round of fuel price increases as major oil players Caltex, Shell Pilipinas, and Seaoil Philippines announced upward adjustments in pump prices, effective 6:01 AM on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.
In an advisory, Caltex (Chevron Philippines Inc.) said it will raise the price of Platinum and Silver gasoline by ₱1.00 per liter, diesel by ₱0.80 per liter, and kerosene by ₱1.00 per liter.
Separately, Shell Pilipinas Corp. and Seaoil Philippines Corp. said they will also implement price increases of ₱1.00 per liter for gasoline, ₱0.80 for diesel, and ₱0.80 for kerosene.
These price movements are expected to impact both private vehicle users and the public transportation sector, contributing to increased travel and logistics costs. The adjustments come amid continued volatility in global oil markets, with domestic players aligning local pump prices with international benchmark movements.
Oil firms typically adjust prices every week based on international oil trading data from the previous five days.
