Globe Telecom is stepping up efforts to boost online security nationwide through its growing application programming interface (API) ecosystem. The company is moving beyond traditional one-time passwords (OTPs) toward next-generation authentication methods designed to better protect users from phishing and online fraud.
After receiving GSMA certification for its number verification API earlier this year, Globe is helping banks and financial institutions adopt stronger digital security in line with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP)’s call for more adaptive protection across the financial sector. Through its enterprise arm, Globe Business, the company is holding roadshows and partnerships with major institutions to promote API-based security systems that enhance customer safety and trust.

Beyond the Philippines, Globe extends its APIs across Asia through its partnership with the Bridge Alliance API Exchange (BAEx), allowing global enterprises to access its network securely. The company also supports regional developers through Concati, its developer marketplace, which connects them with mobile operators and API publishers to speed up innovation and integration.
Vince Yamat, managing director and CEO of 917Ventures, said Concati is “unlocking the true value of the API economy” by simplifying access for developers and helping them bring products to market faster.
Globe’s CPaaS arm, M360, also plays a key role by aggregating local and global APIs to ensure secure, scalable operations for businesses. “Operational excellence is the foundation of digital trust,” said M360 CEO Ramon Hirang.
