Philippines steps boldly onto global stage, debuts in Dubai summit

The Philippines made a confident entrance at the Future Hospitality Summit (FHS) World 2025 in Dubai, its first-ever participation in one of the industry’s most influential gatherings.

Four major developers—Ayala Land Hospitality, Artstream Hospitality Management Group, Megaworld Hotels and Resorts, and Robinsons Hotels and Resorts—formed the country’s private-sector backbone at the October 27–29 event, amplifying a unified message that the Philippines is ready for world-class hospitality investment.

Their presence spotlighted a surge of hotel and resort projects rising across the archipelago, signaling both investor appetite and the country’s bullish tourism outlook. For the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB), which led the national delegation, joining FHS World represents a strategic push to position the Philippines among Asia’s most compelling development frontiers.

“This debut shows that the Philippines is ready to compete for quality hospitality investments,” said TPB Chief Operating Officer Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles. “We’re expanding our presence in platforms that attract not only travelers but also the partners who help build the experiences they come for.”

The 2025 summit gathered delegates from more than 60 countries and 650 companies, providing the Philippines a rare opportunity to showcase its evolving tourism landscape. The country’s exhibit space became a talking point—an elegant blend of solihiya and capiz accents, lush greenery, and immersive digital features that channeled Filipino warmth and design ingenuity.

A key highlight was the Destination Overview Session, Beyond Paradise: Discovering the Investment Potential of the Philippines. Here, the contingent mapped out rising opportunities: integrated leisure estates, improved regional air gateways, and growing demand for sustainable, culturally rooted developments.

By the summit’s close, the Philippines left a vivid impression—one of a nation not just ready for tourism growth, but actively shaping its future on the world stage.
