Advanced Media Broadcasting System Inc. (AMBS) will begin airing ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Channel on ALLTV starting January 2 next year, following TV5’s decision to end its content partnership with ABS-CBN on the same date.
Under the expanded deal, ALLTV viewers will have access to popular ABS-CBN programs such as FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, TV Patrol, and It’s Showtime.
ABS-CBN confirmed that its content agreement with TV5 will conclude as scheduled and thanked TV5 and its chairman Manny V. Pangilinan for their partnership since 2021.
While ALLTV will serve as the main platform for the Kapamilya Channel, ABS-CBN said some of its programs will continue to air on A2Z and GMA to maintain nationwide reach.
Separately, ABS-CBN reported a net loss of P2.24 billion for the first nine months of the year, improving by 13 percent from a P2.59 billion loss in the same period last year. Excluding one-time items, recurring net losses narrowed by 43 percent.
The company said operating costs and expenses fell 11 percent year-on-year to P13.52 billion due to ongoing cost-control measures, including lower administrative and employee expenses. Revenues for the nine-month period declined 3 percent to P11.75 billion from P12.12 billion a year earlier.
