The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) have opened applications for a skills scholarship program for unemployed dependents of GSIS members and pensioners in Legazpi, Cebu, and Davao.
The program offers 75 slots—25 per city—with training fees fully covered. Courses include Cookery (Legazpi), Automotive Services (Cebu), and Bread and Pastry (Davao).
Eligible beneficiaries are unemployed spouses, children, or siblings (for single members) of GSIS members with permanent status, Salary Grade 15 or below, or of GSIS pensioners. Nominees must be at least 18 years old, reside in the covered area, and meet TESDA requirements. Only one nominee is allowed per member or pensioner.
Applications will be accepted from January 20 to February 18, 2026, at GSIS branch offices in the three cities. Scholarship slots will be prioritized for those with the lowest salary or pension, with length of service as a tiebreaker. Qualified applicants will be notified by GSIS via email or mobile phone.
