    Delica legacy drives return of Mitsubishi Versa Van

    The Mitsubishi Delica nameplate makes its in the Philippines in a new form, as Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. (MMPC) reintroduces the Versa Van—positioned as a dependable, modern people-mover for growing enterprises.

    Rooted in the heritage of the well-known Delica platform, the Versa Van traces its local history back to 1987, when it first appeared as the L300 cab chassis.

    The original Versa Van quickly became a fixture on Philippine roads, trusted by families and businesses alike. Now, MMPC brings back the model reengineered for today’s passenger transport demands while retaining the durability and practicality that defined its legacy.

    Designed for organizations that move people daily, the new Versa Van targets small to medium-sized enterprises such as tour operators, school transport providers, and companies running employee or guest shuttle services. It features a spacious cabin, practical layout, and diesel performance suited for daily commercial use.

    Under the hood is a 2.5-liter diesel engine producing 129 PS at 3,200 rpm and 356 N-m of torque from 1,400 to 2,000 rpm, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The 15-seater configuration supports efficient group transport, particularly in stop-and-go conditions.

    Business-focused features include easier maintenance access to reduce downtime, foldable seats for smoother passenger movement, ceiling-mounted air outlets for improved airflow, and a wide rear door opening for easier luggage handling.

    The Versa Van GLX MT is priced at P1,649,000 and comes in Silver Metallic and White Solid.
