Tarlac sees stronger mobile network as growth accelerates

Rapid development in Tarlac is driving demand for faster and more reliable mobile internet, as more residents, businesses, and tourists depend on connectivity for daily activities.

The province, considered a key area in Central Luzon, is experiencing major growth in infrastructure, education, and business. Among the biggest projects is the 68-kilometer Capas–Botolan Road, expected to reduce travel time between Tarlac and Zambales to just over an hour by 2025. New industrial estates, townships, and residential-commercial communities are also being built, particularly in Tarlac City. Investments in Tarlac State University are ongoing, including upgraded laboratories and expanded facilities.

In response, Globe Telecom is expanding its network across the province through 2025 and 2026. The company is adding more LTE and 5G sites to improve internet speed, coverage, and reliability in multiple towns, including Tarlac City, Capas, Concepcion, and Paniqui.

Globe said the upgrades aim to provide smoother browsing, clearer calls, and faster uploads and downloads for users. The improved network is expected to support online learning, remotei work, and digital businesses, while also enhancing the experience of tourists.

The company added that its mobile data offers, including prepaid and 5G packages, will help make internet access more affordable and accessible.

Local businesses and schools are also expected to benefit from better connectivity, improving operations and digital learning. Globe noted that its network performance continues to receive recognition from independent analysts for consistency.

As development continues, improved mobile services are seen to play a key role in supporting Tarlac’s growth and keeping communities connected.
