Ride-hailing platform inDrive has introduced a ₱2.7 million fuel voucher program to help its active drivers cope with rising fuel prices and operating costs.
The initiative complements the national government’s ₱5,000 fuel subsidy for transport workers, which covers TNVS drivers, motorcycle taxi riders, and other public utility vehicle operators.
Alongside the vouchers, inDrive is expanding partnerships to lower fuel expenses. It renewed its deal with SeaOil, allowing drivers to access fuel discounts through the PriceLOCQ app at participating stations nationwide. Drivers can also benefit from a loyalty program and rewards system for fuel and vehicle-related needs.
To further boost earnings, the company launched “Purple Zones”—high-demand areas where drivers can pay commissions as low as 1 percent. Outside these zones, the standard commission remains at 10 percent, still among the lowest globally.
Additional incentive programs will reward driver activity and completed trips, aiming to increase income opportunities and improve ride availability. The company also said it will continue to shoulder the required 20 percent fare discount for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and students, ensuring drivers’ earnings are not affected.
inDrive Philippines said the measures are part of its commitment to support drivers as fuel prices continue to rise, while maintaining affordable and reliable services for passengers.
