Vertiv eyes strong Philippine growth amid data surge

Vertiv is targeting double-digit revenue growth in the Philippines this year, buoyed by surging demand tied to data center expansion and accelerating artificial intelligence (AI) adoption, senior executives said.

Jordan Koh, senior director for Enterprise Sales in Emerging Markets for Asia, said the Philippines contributes roughly 20 percent of Vertiv’s regional business, highlighting its strategic importance as both a key market and operational hub.

“The Philippines is a unique market for us, given the presence of our training center and shared services facility,” Koh said.

Country head Nico Echavarria said growth will be fueled primarily by the rapid buildout and upgrading of data centers, as enterprises scale infrastructure to support AI and broader digital transformation initiatives.

“Several of our clients are already in various stages of expansion,” Echavarria said. “Existing players continue to scale up to remain competitive, while new entrants are beginning to develop their own facilities.”

The expansion wave is expected to boost demand for Vertiv’s end-to-end solutions, including power, cooling, IT systems, and related services. Echavarria noted rising requirements for rectifiers and both DC and AC systems, alongside other supporting technologies.

Beyond data centers, Vertiv is also seeing increased activity in industrial and semiconductor segments. The company is set to roll out its industrial uninterruptible power supply (UPS) offering within the year to capture emerging opportunities.

Koh also underscored the role of the Manila Hub in supporting Vertiv’s global operations, alongside the Vertiv Academy, which trains employees, partners, customers, and students to help build a pipeline of digital and AI-ready talent.
