Residents in Tondo, Manila are receiving emergency water supply after a pipe break in Maynilad’s network caused service interruptions in the area.
Manila Water said it is helping affected communities by sharing treated water through existing cross-border connections between the two companies’ systems. The additional supply aims to ease shortages in areas normally served by Maynilad.
To further assist residents, Manila Water has also deployed five water tankers, each with a capacity of 10 cubic meters, to deliver clean water directly to communities.
The company said the move is part of its effort to support neighboring service areas during emergencies while continuing to provide round-the-clock water supply to its own customers in the East Zone, especially during the high demand of the summer season.
