Globe Business has introduced a new Managed Data Streaming Platform in partnership with Confluent to help Philippine companies improve their use of artificial intelligence (AI).
The platform delivers real-time data, which Globe says is key to making AI systems more effective. Many AI projects fail or underperform because they rely on outdated or incomplete data from older systems.
Globe Business aims to solve this by turning static data into continuous, fast-moving streams of usable information. This allows companies to act on insights instantly and build more advanced AI applications.
“Success in AI depends not just on the model, but on access to fresh, real-time data,” said KD Dizon, vice president and head of Globe Business.
The technology behind the platform is based on Apache Kafka, developed by Confluent and widely used by large global firms. It is hosted locally on Globe’s cloud infrastructure, helping businesses meet data residency requirements.
The managed service is designed to reduce costs by removing the need for companies to build and maintain complex systems or hire specialized staff.
Early users have reported improvements, including better inventory accuracy in retail and faster customer service through AI automation. Globe Business also said it is using the platform internally, with most of its workforce now supported by AI tools.
Confluent executive Kamal Brar said the partnership will allow Philippine enterprises to access secure, scalable real-time data for AI-driven growth.
Globe Business said the new platform positions real-time data as a key foundation for companies aiming to compete in the AI-driven economy.
