The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) is giving free rides to registered solo parents from April 15 to 18, 2026.
The program is in line with Republic Act No. 11861, or the Expanded Solo Parents Welfare Act, which recognizes the contributions of solo parents.
Free rides are available during peak hours: 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Solo parents only need to present a valid Solo Parent ID at any station to avail of the benefit.
MRT-3, which runs from North Avenue in Quezon City to Taft Avenue in Pasay City, said the initiative is a simple way to thank solo parents for their sacrifices.
