As more Filipinos create and store digital content, limited phone space has become a common issue, often forcing users to delete precious files. To address this, Globe has introduced Globe Cloud, a secure and accessible storage solution unveiled during The Blueprint by Globe event. Designed for everyday users, the service lets customers back up photos, videos, and documents to free up device memory while keeping data safe and accessible anywhere.
According to Globe chief commercial officer Darius Delgado, the platform is built to help people protect their memories and move through their digital lives with confidence. Beyond basic storage, Globe Cloud includes features like automatic backups, album organization, and tools to rediscover past moments. It also offers AI-powered editing to enhance photos or turn them into creative styles, plus a PIN or biometric-protected folder for private files.
Unlike many international services, Globe Cloud does not require a credit card for subscriptions, making it easier to use locally. Plans start at 50GB for ₱39 monthly, up to 2TB for ₱499 monthly, with a special introductory rate of just ₱5 per month for the first three months. Available starting June via the GlobeOne app, the service can be accessed initially on Android devices or through web browsers. Globe Cloud combines practical use with emotional value, aiming to make secure digital storage affordable and simple for more Filipinos.
This launch addresses a fast-growing consumer pain point in the country, bringing a locally tailored, low-cost alternative to global cloud platforms while aligning with Globe’s goal of making digital tools accessible and useful for everyday life.
