The Visayas Container Terminal (VCT), run by ICTSI at the Port of Iloilo, has improved regional connectivity with the start of Maersk’s weekly PH6 service.
The route gives businesses in Panay and Western Visayas direct links to key hubs including Yantian and Hong Kong, and further connects to markets across Asia Pacific, the US, Latin America, Europe, and the Middle East. It cuts logistics costs and shortens transit times for importers and exporters.
VCT CEO John Largo said the new service underscores the terminal’s expanding role in trade and confirms confidence in its modern operations. The PH6 calls every Tuesday, following the rotation: Yantian – Hong Kong – Batangas – Tagoloan – Cebu – Iloilo – Yantian.
Separately, ICTSI reported strong first-quarter 2026 results: net income rose 23 percent to $293.57 million, port revenue increased 29 percent to $961.11 million, and container volume climbed 18 percent to 4.08 million TEUs.
