One Meralco Foundation (OMF), the corporate social responsibility arm of Meralco, has partnered with lifestyle brand Urbanize for the 2026 Balik Eskwela program.
Through this collaboration, 5,000 complete school bags and supplies will be provided to public school students for the 2026-2027 academic year. Urbanize will support the project by donating one school bag for every P3,500 worth of purchases made at its stores nationwide. Customers may also write personal messages on postcards included in the bags to dedicate to the student recipients.
Officials from both organizations stated that the partnership aims to expand support for learners, particularly those from underserved communities. OMF noted that since launching in 2014, Balik Eskwela has already assisted over 51,000 students and 6,600 teachers across more than 600 schools, aligning with the Department of Education’s goal of equitable access to basic education.
