Globe powers reliable connectivity for 2026 Sangyaw Festival in Tacloban

Globe delivered steady digital access for residents, visitors, organizers and local businesses during this year’s Sangyaw Festival, supporting seamless communication across the city’s key cultural and religious events honoring Señor Santo Niño de Tacloban.

The company’s Tacloban network includes over 50 cell sites—more than 25 of which are 5G-enabled—backed by additional portable Cellsites on Wheels deployed in high-traffic zones to handle surging data demand from crowds at the Parade of Lights, performances and fairs.

“Festivals like Sangyaw show Tacloban’s spirit and resilience. We’re proud to keep everyone connected to share moments and join the celebration,” said Globe Visayas general manager Jimbo Cordero.

Globe also set up information booths, event tents and street banners, and promoted its lock-in-free GFiber Prepaid service as part of its efforts to support local communities and enrich shared experiences through technology.
