The Luzon International Premiere Airport Development (LIPAD) Corporation has officially launched the Clark AeroDistrict, marking the debut of the country’s first world-class airport city. Announced by LIPAD president and CEO Noel Manankil during a Tuesday press briefing, the project transforms the area surrounding Clark International Airport into a 759-hectare integrated economic, logistics, and business hub.
The mega-development is designed by global infrastructure consulting firm AECOM and sits entirely on government-owned land, eliminating common right-of-way delays. It benefits from the Clark Freeport Zone’s investor-friendly policies, streamlined business setup processes, and a surrounding ecosystem of industrial estates, IT hubs, and leisure destinations.
The masterplan divides the AeroDistrict into four dedicated zones focused on aviation industries, cargo operations, commercial mixed-use developments, and future terminal expansions. Key infrastructure will include specialized areas for maintenance, repair, and overhaul services, general aviation, and an integrated cargo network built to scale up domestic and international supply chains.
Backing the project is the heavy-hitting LIPAD Consortium, combining the expertise of Changi Airports International, JG Summit Holdings, Filinvest Development Corporation, and Philippine Airport Ground Support Solutions. Together, they aim to position the Clark AeroDistrict as a future-ready gateway that seamlessly blends commerce, logistics, and everyday life to drive long-term national economic growth.
