Metropolitan Bank & Trust Co. (Metrobank) has refreshed the designs of two of its popular credit cards, giving the Metrobank M Free Mastercard and Metrobank Cashback Visa a new look while keeping their existing benefits.
The redesign covers the M Free Mastercard, which continues to offer no annual fee for life, and the Metrobank Cashback Visa, which rewards cardholders for everyday purchases.
The Cashback Visa provides rebates of 5 percent on groceries and telco expenses and 0.2 percent on other retail purchases. Cardholders can earn as much as P12,000 in rebates annually.
Metrobank said customers applying for the two cards may be among the first to receive the refreshed designs as the bank transitions from the previous versions.
Some Metrobank pages may still display the old card designs during the transition, but newly approved applications will be issued the latest versions, the bank said.
The redesign comes as banks continue to compete for consumers’ everyday spending by combining card perks with more differentiated product offerings. For Metrobank, retaining the M Free card’s lifetime fee waiver and the Cashback Visa’s rebate structure keeps the focus on benefits even as the products receive a visual update.
The bank encouraged interested customers to apply through its credit card application page.
