Cebuana Lhuillier Insurance Brokers (CLIB) is doubling down on insurance accessibility after securing its fifth consecutive Domestic Broker of the Year — Philippines award at the Insurance Asia Awards 2026.
The recognition comes as CLIB expands its reach among Filipinos who remain underserved by traditional insurance, combining Cebuana Lhuillier’s nationwide branch network with digital platforms and products tailored to everyday protection needs.
“At Cebuana Lhuillier, we have always believed that insurance should be within everyone’s reach, regardless of circumstance,” Cebuana Lhuillier president and CEO Jean Henri Lhuillier said.
The award also comes as CLIB posts strong growth. The company generated P1.766 billion in premiums in 2025, up 24 percent from the previous year. Peso revenues increased 26 percent, while US dollar revenues climbed 24 percent.
CLIB now works with 40 insurers and provides protection to more than 21.3 million Filipinos through its hybrid distribution model.
The company said its strategy is aimed at removing some of the usual friction around insurance, from limited access and complicated products to the perception that coverage is mainly for wealthier households.
Its product portfolio has also expanded beyond traditional protection, including Mindcare, which addresses emerging needs in personal and family financial security.
“This recognition reflects the progress we have made in advancing financial inclusion through protection. But our work is far from over,” Lhuillier said.
CLIB senior vice president and general manager Atty. Isagani Acosta said the company will continue investing in distribution, technology, and simpler insurance products as Filipinos’ protection needs evolve.
The company is also taking its financial inclusion experience overseas through the Microinsurance Master Accelerator Program, sharing its approach to building scalable insurance models.
For CLIB, the award is less a finish line than a reminder that insurance has a stubborn accessibility problem. Its next challenge is making protection not only available, but something more Filipinos can actually understand, afford, and use.
