Holcim Philippines Inc. reported net income growing 26 percent to P835.11 billion from only P661.46 billion the previous year, mainly on higher sales in the second quarter.
Net sales from January to June rose 6 percent to P12.89 billion from P12.17 billion.
Net sales grew 15 percent to P6.25 billion in the second quarter from P5.43 billion, driven by higher volume sold across all business segments.
Net income in the April to June period almost doubled to P478.88 million from P240.85 million, mainly on solid growth across business segments.

We are determined to further accelerate programs for decarbonization, circularity and digitalization to deliver better results and contribute to building progress in the country,” Horia Adrian, president and CEO at Holcim, said.
Holcim operational efficiencies and cost management enabled the business to overcome higher energy prices.
“Guided by its sustainability direction, Holcim Philippines generated savings from more efficient logistics operations, plants’ fuel mix optimization, improved blended cement portfolio, and higher alternative fuel usage,” the company said.
