Travelers arriving at NAIA Terminal 3 now have instant, hassle-free access to Philippine pesos through a new self-service currency exchange machine launched by BDO. The service converts US dollars, euros and Japanese yen into pesos in just minutes, with no paperwork or teller help needed.
Located right after immigration clearance and arrival gates, in front of the BDO branch, the machine operates round the clock, every day of the year. It accepts up to 30 bills at once, verifies notes for security, and pays out both bills and coins—so visitors and returning residents get exact value every time. A printed receipt is issued automatically for each transaction.
For overseas Filipino workers and other travelers, this means no more waiting in line or rushing to find an exchange booth. Competitive rates—already recognized as among the best in the market—apply at all hours. The process takes just five simple steps: select your currency, confirm terms, scan your passport and complete identity verification, insert your foreign bills, then collect your pesos and receipt.
“Travelers today expect convenience at every step of their journey,” said Cora A. Mallillin, BDO Executive Vice President and Head of Branch Banking Group. “This machine puts control in their hands—secure, fast access to pesos the moment they land. It reflects our commitment to delivering trusted, competitive forex services exactly where people need them most.”
As more people choose quick, automated services, the new NAIA 3 facility marks another step in making foreign exchange simple, safe and accessible whether arriving home or visiting the country.
