Cebu Pacific carried over 1.9 million passengers in September 2026, up 4.4 percent year-on-year, driven by robust domestic travel demand despite the month traditionally being a lean travel period.
Domestic passengers rose 7.4 percent to 1.91 million, with domestic seat load factor at 84.7 percent on a 6.2 percent capacity increase. International passengers dipped 5.1 percent to 424,000, as the airline cut international capacity by 11.5 percent amid high fuel costs — still pushing international load factor up to 79.3 percent.
For January–September 2026, total passengers hit nearly 20.8 million, up 4.1 percent. Domestic traffic rose 5.5 percent to 15.7 million, while international numbers held steady at 5.1 million. Average seat load factor stood at 82.1 percent.
“Domestic demand held up well in September,” said Cebu Pacific president Xander Lao. “Internationally, we’re managing capacity selectively due to fuel costs. For the holidays, we’ll match capacity with demand closely, stay flexible, and keep travel affordable and reliable.”
For passengers: stronger domestic demand means more seats and stable fares on key local routes. Some international routes may have fewer seats for now, but better load factors help keep prices steady. For the airline, solid domestic performance offsets softer international volumes, supporting stable operations through the year-end peak.
Cebu Pacific serves 36 domestic and 25 international destinations across the Philippines, operating a fleet of 102 aircraft.
