AIA Philippines has introduced AIA Advantage Max, a single-premium investment-linked insurance product that combines life insurance protection until age 100 with access to global investment funds offering potential quarterly income distributions.
Available in Philippine peso and US dollar denominations, the product gives policyholders access to professionally managed global funds while retaining life insurance coverage. Its income potential, however, is subject to market performance, with distributions neither fixed nor guaranteed.
The offering features two funds: the Global Dynamic Income Paying Fund (GDIF), which has recorded a historical annualized payout rate exceeding 6%, and the newly introduced Global Adventurous Income Fund (GAIF), which targets an annualized payout rate of 7%.
While the funds are designed to provide potential quarterly distributions, actual payouts may vary depending on investment performance and prevailing market conditions. The stated rates should not be interpreted as guaranteed investment returns.
“Successful investing is achieved through diversification, professional management, disciplined risk management, and staying focused on long-term goals. Equally important is ensuring that the wealth you build is protected,” said Goh Chong Yong, chief investment officer of AIA Philippines.
“AIA Advantage Max is designed with these principles in mind. It combines life insurance protection with access to professionally managed global investment opportunities and the potential for income,” Goh added.
Beyond its investment features, Advantage Max offers a start-up bonus of up to 5% of the single premium, distributed over the first five policy years, subject to policy terms and conditions.
From the 10th policy year, policyholders may also qualify for a loyalty bonus equivalent to 2% of their average monthly account value over the preceding 60 months. The bonus is payable every five years, subject to the applicable conditions.
The plan provides life insurance coverage until age 100. Its death benefit is equivalent to the higher of 125% of the single premium or 105% of the account value, including credited start-up bonuses.
AIA Philippines also said the product offers guaranteed issuance without requiring medical examinations.
The launch adds another investment-linked option to the market for customers seeking potential periodic income alongside life insurance protection. However, the combination of insurance benefits, bonuses and income distributions does not eliminate investment risk.
AIA Philippines cautioned that investment returns, account values and fund distributions are subject to market fluctuations. Prospective policyholders should review the product’s charges, risks, fund objectives and policy conditions before committing their capital.
