Unlicensed platforms misuse registered lender’s identity

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has issued a public warning against four online lending platforms operating without the required license: Cashai, Cashay Plus: Fast Cash Loan (Early Access), Cash-X: Easy Online Loan App, and Cash A: Easy Online Loan App.

These platforms falsely claim to be connected to G. A. Orobia Lending Corp., a duly SEC-registered financing company. The corporation has confirmed it does not own, operate, or authorize any of these digital lending services.

The SEC emphasizes: showing a registered company’s name, SEC number, certificate, logo, or address does not prove a platform is legitimate. Unauthorized platforms often engage in unfair debt collection, improper access to personal contacts, and data privacy breaches.

The public is strongly advised not to transact with these four platforms, avoid downloading unverified lending apps, and always verify legitimacy through the official list posted on the SEC website.
